DATA HIDING A major concern for creators of digital content, whether it's Web content, music, or movies on digital disc, is to protect their work from unauthorized copying and distribution. IBM researchers have developed a technology called Data Hiding that enables the embedding of data (such as digital IDs or captions) invisibly. Hiding Information Data Hiding is a technology that allows owners of content to embed data invisibly or inaudibly into other digital media, such as video, audio data, or still images. When the data is embedded, it is not written as part of the data header, but rather embedded directly into the digital media itself. This process changes the original digital data, but the change is so slight that it cannot be visually detected, and has no impact on the performance of the original data.
